Free painting Jan 26th

Thanks to those who took the photos in my absence, even the blurred one. At least I hope it's a blurred photo and that I haven't just bombed. Can the owner of that one bring it in next time and I'll get a clearer photo. 

Easingwold Art Fair news

I received this email today so in the spirit of sharing etc thought I'd put it straight on the blog. Hopefully they'll reciprocate when we have our show in Sept.

This is early notice of an exciting Art Fair to be held in Easingwold at Spring Bank weekend - with workshops, demos, stalls selling well known art materials and an exhibition.  Please could you bring this to the attention of your Art Club members, or display in your gallery.  We will be happy to let you have more details.

Free painting and some of the smallest paintings I've ever seen.

Watch out for the pound coins to show the scale. 

Tim Rose demo

The first day back saw 28 members and visitors enjoy a wonderful demonstration by Sheffield artist Tim Rose. 

He painted the interior of St Paul's London. 

Starting with quite a detailed drawing, then building up with wet-into-wet washes until he pulled it all together with more detail and included figures which gave the whole thing scale.

 A most enjoyable afternoon thanks to the very talented Mr Rose.
