Free painting and Facebook news !

Eleven paintings to look at here and there was much talk about the eagerly awaited Big Painting Challenge on the BBC last night. Mixed reaction but pretty fair to say that landscapes don't appear to be most competitors favourite subject !

Maybe next weeks portrait programme will be more impressive. 

No matter , we have some landscapes here that are impressive as well as a few other genres.

Barbara Phillips workshop

Our very own pastel expert Barbara who pants pet pastels in her sleep gave us a demo and chose a cockerel as her choice of subject.

Some chose to follow the technique and apply that to another subject and others did their own thing. 

It was very well received and much learned. 

The first few photos are examples of Barabara's work and then a few cockerels and other efforts.

Free painting 9th February

Lots of new paintings here and a few nearing completion. Please remember to bring them in when they are finished so I can get them on the blog OR email them to me. karlsimpson1285@btinternet.com 

Also for next week Barabara Phillips is doing a pastel demonstration. So bring along pastels and appropriate paper although there will be some supplies available.

Lastly there was an announcement about the 25th anniversary exhibition. It will be held on the 26th September at Thorpe Willoughby.
