Free painting week building up to the annual exhibition

We were a little thin on the ground this week with only thirteen members present.  However there was some interesting work done and I suspect some of it was in preparation for the Art Exhibition at the beginning of October, since more people than usual were painting flowers.  The forthcoming Art Exhibition is in conjunction with the village Flower Festival, so some flower pictures would seem appropriate but no means obligatory!

The next remarks may be better with the picture.   The third picture down is worked with gold leaf which requires a very special technique, as does the sixth picture which is painted with waxes and a hot iron!

Enjoy the paintings in the knowledge that it took some considerable effort to get them up here. Thanks to Jean for that effort.
