Art Club News

Monk Fryston Art Club News

Lost and Found Department
--------------------------------------------------------
After the (highly successful) Mike Dobson workshop on Monday 14 November, Helen Atkins noticed an item missing from her bag, which meant that she couldn't finish her painting. It was a pot of Brusho white ink/paint. Please check carefully in your art bags to ensure that it wasn't inadvertently picked up in the rush to pack up after the workshop. Please return it on Monday afternoon if you find it, but if it doesn't turn up, we will have to investigate further.

If you can visit the Hall on the Friday evening to help supervise the stall, please do so.

Christmas Lunch at the Watermill Monday 12 December 2016
--------------------------------------------------------
Marjorie has booked the lunch for 12 December, but she has been away for much of the last few weeks, so she has been unable to receive the bookings. Please therefore confirm your booking asap to Rod Ward, by email or in person. We hope to have the advance order forms for lunch be distributed on Monday afternoons, for completion during November. There will be the usual Christmas menu, but other options are available off the standard menu. You can also book a lunch for a partner or friend if you wish.

New Art Club website
--------------------------------------------------------
Malcom Pexton has added more items to the temporary website and invites you to have a look at it on  http://www.yorkww.org.uk/artclub  Any comments to malcolm.pextonHe is in process of registering a new domain name, and setting up a permanent website on a new server. The website won't replace programmes printed on paper, but it will mean that if you lose your paper programme, you will be able to check out what is happening next week. Malcolm wants it to be a useful resource for members, or as an introduction to potential members. He really wants your feedback, so please take the trouble to look. When the finished product is up and running, before the end of 2016, we hope to have the early 2017 programme on the new website.
